HISTORY OF LAUTECH LEO CLUB LAUTECH LEO CLUB came into existence came into existence in 2001 due to the efforts of two prominent members of the club: Leo Saka Adeshina and Leo Bosun Vaughan the son of Lion S.O Vaughan (Ilorin Central Lions Club). Fortunately, for the club after a little persuasion, Ilorin Central Lions Club agreed to sponsor our club. This marks the beginning of the then youngest club in district 404 Nigeria. After a short period of rough start and the initial problem of membership, LAUTECH received her charter from Oakbrook on the 27th of March 2001. The charter members include: 1. Secretary 6. Leo Fajobi Oluwaseun Treasurer 7. Leo Azeez Adetunji Director of M& A 8. Leo Adegbola Oluleke Director of Projects 9. Leo Ogundipe Kamir Director of Welfare 10. Leo Oyeranmi Tunji Tamer 11. Leo Olugbode Ololade 12. Leo Adeyeye Abiodun 13. Leo Lawal Temidayo 14. Leo Ajadi Nurudeen 15. Leo Ogunfeyitimi Olaoluwa 16. Leo Jegede Gbemisola 17. Leo Akinade Bolanle 18. Leo Oduwole Oluwaseun 19. Leo Eyinade Yemi The club had her official chartering ceremony on Saturday 8th September 2001 at the Royal Crown Hotel, Ogbomoso. She had her first appearance in district 404 Nigeria at the Leadership Training Programme in Oko, Anambra state in 2001. Since then the club has being moving from heights to heights. This culminated into the club hosting the district in February 2003. The 3rd Council Meeting /Mini Convention tagged Ogbomoso 2003 was held at the Royal Crown Hotel, Ogbomoso between the 27th February and 2nd March. That same lionistic year saw the charter president of the club being appointed as the Regional director of Region 6 & 7 under the leadership of Leo T.O.S Adewunmi as the District President. The then president Leo Bosun Vaughan was also appointed as the Convention Committee Chairman. LAUTECH LEO Club marked her full recognition in District 404 Nigeria when she placed 4th in the district at the Main Convention in Ilorin 2003. At this convention she contested and won the post of the 2nd Vice District President (was later annulled) with her charter president who was then the regional Director. She also won the Best Regional Director. The club has being able to affect the lives of the people in Ogbomoso and its environs just after 4 years of existence. The club successfully installed her 3rd President Leo Oduwole Oluwaseun on the 25th October 2003 at the Royal Crown Hotel, Ogbomoso. His administration has being able preach the gospel of Lionism using all available means of Publicity which include the launching of her 1st edition of the news bulletin called ?Leo Reflection?. He went ahead to pay a courtesy visit to NTA Ibadan and the Punch Newspaper on the 29th of January 2004. Putting the club on the World Wide Web is also in his line of spreading the gospel of Lionism worldwide and also of the club. The club has being able to put smiles on the faces of motherless babies at the Kersey motherless babies home, Ogbomoso; Inmates of the Lepers? Colony, Ogbomoso; Blind Center, Ogbomoso and many others. The club also has a high compliance with District Programmes and conventions. We innovate others Emulate.
